What is colloidal silver?
Colloidal silver is the designation of a product containing microscopic particles with silver floating in water. It is in fact a mixture of silver ions and silver particles. In some products, silver ions dominate the wrap while in other products most silver particles are. Ionosil is a product consisting of about 80% silver ions and the remainder in particulate form. The size of the particles has been found to be between 1 and 24 nm in a measurement. When at the beginning of the 20th century, early forms of colloidal silver produced by mechanical milling – by painting the silver – we usually call the modern electrically manufactured version we are working on for “electrocolloidal silver”.
